WHY do we share our knowledge?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Be prepared to read this blog and take some NOTES! There will be links and giveaways and strategies for success, so grab a cup a jo and let’s go go go!

As I prepare for this week’s free teleseminar, among the other thousand things that need to be delegated and solved as a business owner, I am forced to embrace that knowledge is THE MOST IMPORTANT gift we have to share with one another. I have NO interest in being the only self-made multi-millionaire and EVERY interest in leading a merry band of very wealthy men and women on a path of FREEDOM.

So I’ve done a few things to help that vision become reality. (Are you all laughing at “a few” ????) Yep, I think it’s obvious that part of my MISSION and my personal passion is share share share. You can tell that from this blog, you can tell that from my FB group, from my Twitter page ( @comaford ) and everything that my company, Mighty Ventures, does to support success seeking entrepreneurs every single day.

I know that some of you are struggling with finances — at BIG levels. Some of you own million dollar businesses and have been forced to reinvent the wheel every day. But there’s no excuses for not investing in your success. It’s a matter of priorities. ESPECIALLY if the stuff your investing in is free — so the I in ROI is just your time. Choose your teachers wisely, but DO invest.

My next teleclass is WEDNESDAY, and I’ll cover the MOST important information I’ve got to share: “3 Massive Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make That Keep Them
Overworked, Underpaid, and Feeling Trapped by Their Business.”

Although most entrepreneurs fall victim to these scenarios, I assure you, it is all Totally Avoidable! … and I’ll be sharing HOW on the call, as well. Be SURE to mark your calendar! The call is available via phone or through live web-audio… the details are here…

Q&A: How can I leverage my time with OPE? (Other People’s Energy)

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

You can best leverage your time, meaning get more done in less time, by helping your team members know what you need and expect. This means you MUST spend time with them. I often STILL think my team members will receive my Vulcan Mind Meld and magically understand what I want… it doesn’t work that way. The most sensitive ones will definitely anticipate your needs/desires over time, tho many will need you to tell them exactly what you want when why and how it should be delivered. SOPs help a LOT here. As you document standard operating procedures you’ll get more leverage, higher quality work, and less stress!

Monday Q&A – Writing a Marketing Plan to Attract VC’s

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Well, it’s Monday Q&A again!  Here’s one of my favorite questions from my last free biz-building call because it’s focused on FINANCING – one of the most crucial steps in building a successful business.

Question: I’d like to ask about writing a marketing plan with the intention of using it in a venture capital proposal.  How is that different than a marketing plan for internal use?

Answer: For a marketing plan that a VC is going to consider, they’ll be most interested in scaling up your business, in customer acquisition and retention. So I’d especially stress your partners. You’ll want key alliances for marketing and sales, and you’ll want a customer council and rockin’ advisory board. Think logos. VCs want to make sure you are well loved and that other people are taking a risk on you. Partners show that — they are putting marketing energy or even dollars against you, they are betting on your success. The biggest mistake would be a plan where you are marketing in a vacuum.

For a ton of rockin’ advice on VC’s and financing, join me on June 5 and 6 at my Results Now Summit in San Francisco. Besides a million-dollar education in business acceleration, there will financing opportunities, networking opportunities and enough strategies for success to launch your business into the stratosphere!

To your continued success!

Q&A Friday: Building A Great Email or Newsletter List

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Here’s another great Friday Q&A to offer you strategies for success that will TRULY build your online presence AND your revenue.

Q: How to build an email list. I will need some bonus/free products to encourage sign-ups — I don’t know how to start creating them.

A: Creating free or bonus products is easy. You need 30 minutes of great content delivered in an ebook and / or a downloadable audio or video.  Then you need a checklist to accompany the content to ensure people know how to implement it.

I’ll cover this biz building topic extensively on June 5 and 6 at my Results Now Summit in San Francisco. Besides a million-dollar education in business acceleration, there will financing opportunities, networking opportunities and enough strategies for success to launch your business into the stratosphere!

Monday Q&A

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Question: I would like to get capital for my company, but usually shy away from VC’s because I don’t want to give a piece of the company away.  I always think that, one step at a time, I will make ground by myself.  I feel that if I open up, I will loose my liberty. What suggestions would you have to make me change mind frame?

Answer: Better to have 30% of something huge than 100% of something microscopic. If you need capital then you need capital. You will also get expertise, help, credibility, and other people sharing the risk. Don’t be penny wise and pound foolish!

Direct Mail – Still a Viable Option to Get Your Message OUT!

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Hello Renegades! Continuing with our Monday Q&A Column, here’s a simple, but massively effective marketing query to rock your revenue and keep your biz building!

Question:  What is the best way to market to a highly qualified, very specific prospect list?  I only have the residential addresses, no e-mail or phone numbers.

Answer:  Direct mail! I am starting to study this, and it fascinates me. It’s definitely time for us to do this at Mighty Ventures. You’ll want to send at least three, hopefully five, pieces over a 7-10 day period of time. Repetition is really the key here – and be SURE to use compelling messages. Test and see which messages generate action, and bear in mind the repeated exposure lends a cumulative effect.  A great product + a great message + a highly qualified specific list is a sure hit.

Kickin’ off the week with a Rockin’ Q&A

Monday, April 27th, 2009

I’ve decided to do a rockin’ Q&A section on my blog every Monday and Tuesday to get your week started off on a great path.  I get a TON of questions from work-at-home entrepreneurs, so I’m going to start with that today.

Q: Christine, I MUST have a way to have a business that allows me and gives me freedom to help others and work from home. There  are so many offers such as Nich Blueprint that promise success. I am an educator that desperately needs your help. I must provide for my family as well as helping others. We must make America great. Please let me know what I need to do.

A: Dear friend, If you are an educator, you can look into the many online tutoring sites such as http://www.wetutor.com, http://www.rogomo.com, and you could even hang out your own shingle as an expert and promote yourself in family venues like blogs and web sites. You need to shape a business first!  See the free resources section on http://mightyventures.com.

Finally, if you are absolutely ready to go forward and need immediate results and strategies for success, consider attending the Results Now Summit this June.  http://www.ResultsNowSummit.com. Stay in touch and let me know how it goes. – Christine
